How to Donate Archival Materials or Artifacts

We collect artifacts and archival materials associated with the people, places, buildings, events, organizations, and businesses that help shape the history of the Clear Lake community. We collect a wide range of objects and paper materials including documents, photographs, ledgers, family history and letters, books and reference volumes relating to our history for our resource library. Objects and archival materials are considered for the collection based on relevancy, size, condition, interest, connection to mission, documentation available for the item(s), and whether the item is a duplicate of something already in the collection.

Either complete the form below or email contact@clearlakeiahistory.org. Include as much information as you can about the item(s) you want to donate. Try to answer these questions – What is the item? How is this item connected to Clear Lake history? Who owned this item? How was this item used? What is the size of the item?  If this is an paper archival item, would you provide or allow a digital copy of the item(s)? All artifact and archival donations go through a review process before being accepted into the collection.
